The U.S. House of Representatives voted Tuesday 413-2 to censure Rep. Chuck Edwards, a Republican representing western North Carolina, for his inappropriate conduct towards two female staffers working in his office.
Edwards stood in the well of the House to hear the reading of censure after the vote.

Enough people objected to new state election rules governing photo identification, conduct at the polls, recounts and absentee voting to delay them until after the midterm elections.
The Rules Review Commission unanimously approved a slate of Board of Elections rules last week, but at least 10 people wrote opposition letters for each one. Those objections mean that implementation is delayed until the legislature can review them during its next regular season.

The U.S. Postal Service rushed the development of electronic tools to comply with a Trump administration policy placing new restrictions on mail-in voting, and defied a court order to stop work on the system, according to an explosive whistleblower complaint published Tuesday by Democratic U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal.
The unnamed whistleblower predicted the result could be “foreseeable catastrophic disruption to our coming nationwide elections based on the reckless pursuit of readying a new, insufficiently tested, poorly planned mail-in ballot screening system.”
